Manager/Director of Marketing Programs
Summary
The Manager/Director of Marketing Programs will develop and manage innovative and effective affinity and customer marketing programs to broaden the awareness of the DreamBox brand, engage customer evangelists, and increase customer acquisition and retention. You will be a key member of a small marketing team.
You will have the opportunity to invent and develop innovative pilot programs, test, learn, and modify them to build effective, repeatable programs that we can scale across the US. You will work with our top customers to create loyalty programs and with our top referrers — teachers and schools — to create affinity programs. You will manage a pilot program of local enthusiasts to broaden awareness in selected school districts/geographic areas.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Your responsibilities will include:
- Create, manage and execute marketing programs, both online and off, including local outreach teams, top customer loyalty programs, free after-school math learning programs, and teacher affinity programs.
- Responsible for all aspects of these programs, including leading and coordinating any cross-functional teams required for implementation.
- Work with the marketing team to develop offers, content and materials to support the programs; work with product and marketing management to define product requirements needed to support these programs and audiences; and work with support to effectively support them.
- Experiment, track, measure, and iterate to create successful customer acquisition channels.
- Work with the rest of the entrepreneurial marketing/business team to create integrated strategies and programs to improve customer acquisition and conversion rates at all stages of the customer funnel.
- Manage or assist with other aspects of our marketing or business needs as required, including PR, product management, business development, and more. It's a start-up and everyone pitches in!
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of demonstrated success in consumer marketing, with 2-3 years experience in developing and executing customer awareness and acquisition programs in an online, fast-paced, flexible, team-oriented environment. (Experience level will determine title.)
- Strong project management skills, analytical capabilities, the ability to think both strategically and tactically, and excellent general business acumen and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, flexible, passionate startup environment.
- Experience in ecommerce and/or consumer subscription services a big plus, as is experience with online retail, direct marketing, and multi-level marketing programs.
- Experience in and/or passion for children's education a big plus.
- MBA preferred.
